Introduction of MIUI ROM

Hi Friends, thanks for your attention on MIUI.

MIUI ROM is made by a group of technical fans in Android area. It is based on Android 2.2 and totally designed and optimized for Chinese users. Currently MIUI ROM is in beta testing phase. MIUI team will improve it by adopting user's suggestions and provide OTA update every Friday.

MIUI ROM only supports Simplified Chinese right now. For any other language supports, MIUI group has no any plan yet. Your understanding will be appreciated.

but.... yes there is always a but :).  MIUI has great collaboration with XDA and CM,  in XDA, djmcnz and Dai323 they have hosted our MIUI rom and also coordinate some 3rd party localization work for non-Chinese users.  in CM, we talk with cyanogen and have submitted our FM app together with changes in kernel and framework blah blah into CM code tree, which is first 3rd party FM app not depending on HTC sense.  CM has more platform support comparing with us, so by doing this, our FM will benefit users on more platform.

Thank you 缪斯 for precising the current status of the ROM. As you can see this ROM has a huge reverb in the occidental world. I'd appreciate if you could just compile your OTAs with other languages too, without providing any translation. In this way we could translate it as we're doing right now (APK decompile, edit, recompile), but we could set our language without hacks... this means it would require you no more attention but to add a command line string compiling :)
